EMR Safety Manager

With over two decades of experience in logistics, fleet management, and workplace safety, George Alford joined EMR in 2025 as Safety Manager. His career path has been shaped by a commitment to creating safer work environments and empowering employees to make safety a natural part of their day-to-day lives.

George’s dedication to safety is personal — early in his career, he lost an employee in a driving accident. Since then, he has made it his mission to ensure employees have the training, tools, and awareness to protect themselves and others. At EMR, he aims to make safety a topic that employees are excited about, both at work and in their personal lives.

“Safety isn’t just a policy — it’s a mindset. My mission is to make it second nature.”

Since joining EMR, George has enjoyed meeting employees across the company, learning about their roles, and hearing ideas for how safety practices can be improved. He values collaboration and believes the best improvements come from listening to those who work with the processes every day.

Outside of work, George bowls twice a week in a league, competes in 9-ball pool tournaments, and explores new restaurants as a self-proclaimed foodie. Fun fact: George has auditioned 24 times for the TV show Survivor — and while he hasn’t been selected yet, he’s not giving up anytime soon.
