HVAC Technician – Full Time – Tidewater

EMR is hiring an experienced HVAC technician for our Tidewater/Hamptons Roads service territory.


EMR, a leader in commercial kitchen repair, has openings in our Tidewater/Hampton Roads service territory for commercial HVAC technicians. $2000 sign on bonus offered for experienced technicians with a Journeyman license OR higher or 5 years’ experience in those states without license requirements (must apply to this ad by September 15th, 2021). $1000 paid out at 6 months, $1000 paid out at 1 year mark.


Our Service Technicians provide the highest quality service and repair to light commercial HVAC equipment while providing an exceptional customer service experience.  EMR is a drug-free workplace, clean driving record required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant technical training, licenses, and/or certifications (i.e. EPA, CFESA)
  • Commercial refrigeration and/or commercial cooking equipment repair experience
  • Electrical background
  • Self-motivated with the proven ability prioritize and work independently with minimal direct supervision


Position Requirements:
  • 3+ years’ experience
  • CFC certification (licenses are a plus)
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record
  • Clear criminal background
  • Pre-Employment drug screening
  • Strong mechanical aptitude (must pass mechanical aptitude test)
  • Ability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, reach, and occasionally lift and carry up to 70 pounds
  • Ability to work on ladders, roofs, and in rare cases, high, precarious places

Position Benefits:

  • Technical support provided by EMR Field Service Supervisor or Service Mgr.
