Commercial Divison

EMR Service assists in the National KFC Kentucky Grilled Chicken Rollout.
EMR provided installation and startup of new Blodgett Ovens for over 75 locations in the Maryland area. We are also supporting this important new product rollout by providing service on the ovens.

EMR combines their two Northern Virginia branch operations.
On May 1st EMR has now one major service operation in Northern VA. We have combined our two locations into one main operation. This has allowed us to provide more support and technicians to provide our customers in the Northern Virginia area with better service. In 2010 EMR is planning to move our current location into a new facility which will even increase our ability to provide total kitchen service for our customers.

Microwave oven training.
EMR will be providing training on various models of microwave ovens. Operating and troubleshooting procedures will be covered. The training will be held at the EMR Baltimore corporate training facility. All qualified service technicians are welcomed. .

Alto Shaam Factory training
EMR is hosting the Alto Shaam factory training. They will be providing training on their complete line of equipment and will also do extensive training on their Comb-therm ovens. Please call for availability.

EMR has set a go live date for new software installation.
EMR is currently in the conversion phase of installing the Davis Business Systems Global Edge Software. The current go live date is 10/2009. This new windows based software will enable EMR to communicate information back and forth to our service vehicles. I also will allow multiunit customers the ability to place and review their service calls on line. The new software will provide the direct communication with the major manufactures for checking warranties and placing orders.

EMR technicians attending training at Gaylord Industries Factory.
EMR a factory representative for Gaylord Industries will be sending technicians to the factory located Oregon for specialized training on UV ventilation and pollution control systems. EMR provides Gaylord service in the Maryland, Washington DC and Northern areas.

Industrial Divison

The Industrial Division recently upgraded their Bake Oven with a larger and more efficient one. It increased the size of work that can be handled by 25%

The shop area, in particular the mechanic side, has been enlarged. The mechanic area has been expanded and new hoists and rails have been installed to improve productivity. As most of this work is being handled in house, progress has been slow due to the volume of work in the shop. We are currently looking to increase the number of mechanics from four to six by the end of the year and this new space is necessary for that expansion.
