April 2007
EMR moves two of their branch locations
EMR has moved the Salisbury branch on March 9, 2007 to a new location about two miles from the old one in Salisbury MD. The new location is at 805 N Salisbury Blvd. Ste. 3200, Salisbury, MD. 21804. This facility is about twice the size of the old facility. It has the ability to receive, handle and store equipment for installation. The Bear DE branch moved on April 2, 2007 to a new location in New Castle DE. The new address is 263 Quigley Blvd. Ste. 12 New Castle, DE 19720. This new branch has a new training facility and a large warehouse. It also positions the branch to service the lower New Jersey and Pennsylvania area.

EMR Service acquires EECO Equipment Engineering Company
EMR The Electric Motor Repair Company, a leading Mid-Atlantic service provider and parts distributor to the commercial foodservice industry is pleased to announce the acquisition of EECO Commercial Service located in Manassas, VA.  The acquisition of Equipment Engineering is an exciting opportunity for us to expand our business into Northern Virginia market with a highly respected company. They also bring expertise in installation and large ventilation systems.  EECO, a CFESA member company, has been providing quality service throughout Washington DC metro area.  Wayne Leeder will remain with the company as the branch manager.

EMR expands into New Jersey area
EMR is now offering expanded coverage in the lower New Jersey shore area. The EMR New Castle DE branch has expanded their service area to cover the southern parts of New Jersey. The more Northern areas are handled by the Bensalem PA office.

EMR maintains ENODIS Three Star Service status...
EMR has just regained their Enodis Three Star service certification. Enodis is one of the top foodservice manufactures with a strong commitment to good service. A  Star Certified company has to have a commitment to training, customer service and maintaining inventory levels in order to provide a high level of service.

EMR becomes the authorized service company for MEIKO in Philadelphia
MEIKO, the world's #1 brand in flight-type conveyor warewashers has appointed EMR Bensalem, PA as the authorized service and parts distributor for their product line. EMR represents MEIKO in DE, MD, DC and parts of VA currently.

Industrial Divison

The Industrial Division recently upgraded their Bake Oven with a larger and more efficient one. It increased the size of work that can be handled by 25%

The shop area, in particular the mechanic side, has been enlarged. The mechanic area has been expanded and new hoists and rails have been installed to improve productivity. As most of this work is being handled in house, progress has been slow due to the volume of work in the shop. We are currently looking to increase the number of mechanics from four to six by the end of the year and this new space is necessary for that expansion.
